Gary A. Wolensky

Biography

Gary Wolensky is a partner in the firm of Hewitt Wolensky LLP.   His practice is concentrated in personal injury and product liability litigation and regulatory matters.  His focus is and has been in the defense of automobile, consumer goods, sporting  goods equipment, medical device, industrial equipment manufacturers and the amusement park industry. 

Over the years Mr. Wolensky’s practice has focused on the defense of cases involving significant head injuries including cases involving subdural hematomas,  subarachnoid hemorrhages, diffuse axonal injuries, carotid artery and vertebral dissections, contrecoup injuries, and concussion injuries.   He has also been involved in numerous spinal injury cases involving quadriplegia, tetriplegia,  and paraplegia.  Mr. Wolensky has worked with many of the top researchers in the country on head and spinal issues significant to many of the industries he represents and  works closely with certain industry associations in the development of medical causation defenses. 

Mr. Wolensky has been lead counsel in numerous catastrophic product liability cases and is currently National and Regional counsel  for companies in several industries. He has worked vigorously with manufacturers and agencies in  dealing with regulatory compliance including possible and actual recalls.

Mr. Wolensky has worked with companies of all sizes in the development of product warnings, instructions and instruction manuals, and risk management programs. He has worked with governmental agencies in various industries and has served on voluntary rulemaking committees. In addition, Mr. Wolensky is assisting many companies with the interpretation and compliance of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act-2008 and has been involved in meetings and numerous communications with the CPSC concerning interpretation of the new Act.  He has been featured on  The Stuart Varney Show on Fox Business Network and  The Hugh Hewitt Radio Show on several occasions to discuss the implications of CPSIA.
